Hi

I used to write a lot of reviews and take reviewing very seriously, and many of those are still floating around here on RYM. I have since grown old and decided to just start enjoying music rather than telling people why I enjoy music. Though I understand why a lot of people valued my reviews, the truth is that it was a shitload of effort for nearly no reward aside from getting albums before they came out. I may still post opinions around and I'll probably keep my lists up but the best way to follow me now is through facebook/instagram where I post a lot about live shows and vinyl I've bought. Also twitter, but I mostly use that to rant about cricket.

Part of the reason I've retired from music reviewing is because I now have a band of my own, The Dark Third. We haven't got much out yet but we play a lot of shows and our debut album is always incoming. Our single is available for free on bandcamp:
