Hey there. My 3 favorite bands are Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath and Transatlantic. My 3 favorite albums (from those respective bands) are Animals, Heaven and Hell, and Bridge Across Forever.

I'm a big fan of progressive rock and metal, heavy metal, doom metal, psychedelic/space/stoner rock and jazz fusion.
I also enjoy orchestral music, such as orchestral video-game/film soundtracks or orchestral classical.
Power metal is cool. I had a phase where that's all I would listen to. Still love it, but it's harder for me to find new stuff that I like.
Although a bit more selective with it, I enjoy melo-death and death metal as well.
I'm similarly selective with (mostly) instrumental genres like post-rock, post-metal and math rock.
Alternative, indie and experimental rock are also genres I don't delve as deeply into but enjoy occasionally.
I was very much into electric/heavy/blues rock a few years ago, but I can't quite find my footing in that genre. I enjoy it but can't find any new material I enjoy.
Country is alright, I guess. I only really listen to Johnny Cash.


As for my ratings..
I'll listen to a song or two, and then decide whether to pick up an album.
So, if I like the songs that I tried, I'll most likely acquire the album. If I feel the songs are mediocre but the band has potential, I'll still pick up the album.
Therefore, you won't see many, if any, really low ratings on my page because of that.
