Cover system

Cover system allows interacting with the environment to take cover and avoid enemy fire or line of sight, as well as peek or return fire. It is especially associated with various third-person shooters, most notably Gears of War which popularized the mechanic in the genre, as well as stealth games, e.g. Metal Gear Solid [メタルギアソリッド] or Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell.
