It's still Ace Attorney, it's still fun to go through, but from a writing standpoint this is a big step back. Characters, both central and one-time, are considerably weaker. The "less-good" cases from the other games, while very flawed, at least had something to it that was compelling at the end of the day. There's pretty much nothing compelling about 4-2 or 4-3. And 4-4 has some great moments, but it's severely lacking when it comes to tying up all of the knots left. The Apollo reveal meant nothing to me because he's such a nothing character in this. The stuff with Kristoph felt like if they tried to do Bridge to the Turnabout with only Turnabout Memories and nothing else as the context. I do like Trucy as a Maya standin (except for the panties shit, seriously Japan why are you like this sometimes), and there's plenty of good parts to it, but very underwhelming as a product. 4-1: 7/10, 4-2: Bro who the fuck cares/10, 4-3: 4/10, 4-4: Conflicted

This game to me is Dunkey and Death Stranding. I talk about how much I fucking hate this game and how ridiculously bullshit it is, but at the same time I beat it all the way through without using warps and I play the first 6 stages constantly.

The best and most refined Castlevania experience.

I am genuinely astounded at how many different ways the level and game design in this is shit. Unpopular opinion but this is easily my least favorite Castlevania game. It’s so broken and unfun in terms of difficulty that I’m genuinely astounded that people can find it enjoyable. Beating this game nearly brought me to my breaking point. But I did do it. Without the help me code. I regret everything but I did do it.

Wow, what a grand adventure that I totally didn't beat in only like 2 hours because I was using a guide and the game designers forgot to make the game long so instead they put a bunch of cryptic bullshit in to fill time instead. This was a good excuse to listen to music to and nothing more. 4/10!

The second castle is funny

I had a lot of fun with it, and the story itself was surprisingly thoughtful. Loved how it personifies and explains stuff like anxiety and depression, while also having it not feel out of place at all.

There's some satisfaction to be had, but it's really repetitive. 90% of this game is playing the same part you've already played in an attempt to get past it. I enjoyed it overall, but I don't think I'm ever going to return to it.

Missed a collectible that was right before the final boss so I missed a shot at the “true ending” which has the most iconic boss in the game. Used a code to get back to where I was, spend 30 minutes since the code left me before the second to last stage, make sure to get the collectible this time, still end up getting the “true ending” anyway because the code left out a potion or some fucking thing idk. Fuck it, I beat the game, who gives a shit. Would’ve been a 4/5 since it is really fun but the game had to add it’s bullshit at the last second. This is probably on me but I don’t fucking care. EDIT: I went back and got the stuff I need for the final boss. Now instead of taking a point off for that stuff I detailed above, I’m taking a point off for the fact that this is the worst boss I’ve ever fought in a video game. Fuck it. Fuck it to hell, fuck it to the damnations of mankind.

Fun to speedrun.

I loved it as a kid and yeah I still love it now. Fun gameplay, great choice of songs, and just a fun and zany atmosphere that is so charming even today. I did beat it in like 2 hours though. And like a fourth of that was on the final level.

This game does kinda suck but god damn is it hilarious.

I know this is a WIP, but with how much I've heard about this I'm extremely disappointed. As a rhythm game the mechanics are awful, and I'm not charmed by anything in the game (especially not the music which annoys me so much it pretty much ruins the experience). I guess this review is outdated because I beat it before the real stuff came out (and in like 20 minutes may I add) but it's too little too late.

People say this game aged poorly. I think it was a complete piece of shit right out of the gate.
