Biography
Rough Trade Arvato is the brand used by Rough Trade Distribution from 2004 to 2008. Rough Trade Distribution had previously operated under the name Zomba Distribution as a division of the Zomba Label Group. In 2002, Clive Calder sold all of Zomba to BMG. A year later, restructuring within the company transferred Zomba Distribution and Windsong Exports/Pinnacle Entertainment to BMG's Arvato division. In 2004, Zomba Distribution changed its name to Rough Trade Arvato.
After Sony bought BMG's half of Sony-BMG Music Entertainment in 2008, Groove Attack acquired Rough Trade Distribution GmbH and reverted the brand name back to Rough Trade Distribution.
