I love (Hard) Rock, Pop Rock and Folk from the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's. I'm also trying to expand my music taste.
Things I value most in music: emotion, melody, songwriting and variety.
Everything that's 4 stars or above belongs to my personal 'canon'. These are the kinds of records that I have a strong connection with and are a joy to listen to from start to finish; I (almost) never skip any tracks whenever I listen to these albums.
3.5 stars means that the album is enjoyable and has some great stuff on it, but as whole it's a bit inconsistent and not the kind of album that I would put on by myself; it lacks the connection for me.
3 star albums have a few good songs, but overall the album isn't that special and/or memorable to me.
2.5 star albums have maybe one or two good songs, but overall the album's tedious and kinda hard for me to listen to all the way through.
2 star albums are the kind of albums that I dislike. I find it very hard to listen to these albums without skipping most of the tracks. Luckily, I rarely give low ratings.
I try to keep my reviews pretty short, with a maximum of 150 words. This way I can tell in a concise manner why I like the album.
