I'm a mod. Probably the only mod from Spring, TX, but maybe they'll come around. I currently live and work in Chicago, but I've lived in Houston, London, Dallas, and San Antonio. I also owned an independent record store called Music Town, but the recession of 2009 ended that.

    Title
I Will Be is a good album at best. It’s just your run-of-the-mill lo-fi garage rock album with pop sensibilities and a female vocalist. I wanted to get that out of the way right away so we could focus not on the album as a whole, but on the 3 or 4 standout tracks that makes me not regret spending the money. After a forgettable opening track, we are presented with a gem called “Bhang Bhang, I’m a Burnout” which delivers a stoner anthem so drenched in hooks that you’ll find yourself humming the tune without even having to partake. As if the drugs got them in trouble “Jail La La” is probably the catchiest tune about being busted I’ve ever heard. The la la’s will give you the perfect sing-a-long while sitting in the slammer. The second to last track is a winner as well. “Everybody’s Out” is a jangly pop tune about the woes of dating a very attractive person sung with such urgency that you can imagine the singer eyeing her opposite at the bar while others chat them up. But the real hit on the record isn’t even their hit. It’s a cover of the Sonny & Cher song “Baby Don’t Go.” I’m usually not one for covers, but this one is performed with such feeling that you’ll have tears in your eyes just thinking about the one (probably the one that everybody was out to get) that got away. I usually don’t advocate downloading, legal or otherwise, but since the US record companies refuse to mass produce singles I think that this album and it’s 3 or 4 awesome tracks is an exception to the rule.

I haven't heard any hard dates, but they did announce that they'd be touring this year so I imagine they'd have it out by then.
