Rating system:
5 stars: These are the albums that enjoy a priveleged status in my music collection; the survivors of a hypothetical house fire. They possess that intangible something which makes anything less than top marks seem inadequate and in most cases I have a deeply personal connection with them. Much love.
4.5 stars: These are albums I'd confidently consider among the absolute greatest of all time. They may lose out on top marks because of a minor quibble here or there, but I'd still defend any of them to the death.
4 stars: These albums are unquestionably brilliant. It may be that they are kept from achieving the top ratings because they don't get listened to as much as those albums, are not as consistently impressive or have a more notable flaw. Nonetheless, I would consider all of these albums among my favourites.
3.5 stars: These are very fine albums. I don't necessarily consider them among my personal favourites but would enthusiastically recommend them to a friend. In a majority of cases, too, I still listen to them on a regular basis.
3 stars: These are perfectly good, even great, albums that I have failed to make a connection with on a personal level. It also true that they are not of a high enough standard to demand repeat listening. I would recommend these albums, but such recommendations would be qualified.
2.5 stars: These are albums that I am somewhat ambivalent towards. They may have some songs or qualities that I greatly appreciate, but in general this is outweighed by my disinterest in the album as a listening experience. As such I would rarely listen to these albums or recommend them, but I consider them worth keeping for their afforementioned redeeming features.
2 stars: These albums, while not entirely devoid of merit, I find to be deeply flawed. It may be that they are saved from a worse rating because of one of two particularly good songs, but I no longer listen to these albums and would recommend a friend not to bother with them.
1.5 stars: These are albums I dislike and have most likely removed from my collection because they didn't contain any songs worth keeping them around for.
0.5 stars: These albums enjoy an equally privileged status in my collection as my 5 star albums. My hatred of these albums goes beyond mere musical taste and if you like them then you're probably an evil scum-bag.

Hey, I got bored so decided to create a 'RATE YOUR: greatest David Bowie songs' list.
Give me your top 10 in order to be scored as follows: Your position 1 song gets 5 points; positions 2 to 4 get 4 points each; positions 5 to 7 get 3 points each; positions 8 to 10 get 2 points each.
I’ll add these to the running grand total, and will update the list very regularly so check back for updates.
Hope to hear from you!
Regards
Peter
