Game collection
Motormouth is my nickname, and I was 16 when I made this account.
I'm more of an album person than a band person. I know a lot of bands, but only a few albums by each.
My wishlist are the albums that I want to own a physical copy of, so that's why it's so high. Most albums I can listen to on youtube or spotify, so my wishlist are albums that I consider to be good or special in some way, or I want to read the liner notes!
My collection is physical only. I use Spotify/Last Fm/Youtube to check an album out, to decide if I want to buy it or have it in my collection.
I have many albums on both cd and cassette/vinyl, so there will be duplicates in my collection. Some I might be willing to part with for trades.
I am a person who believes that everything deserves a chance, regardless of what others tell you. How can you know your personal feelings about something when you've never heard it?
With that being said, these are my preferred music genres/sub genres:
rock: hard rock, blues rock, folk rock, country rock, southern rock, singer-songwriter, pop/soft rock, stoner rock, psychedelic rock, prog rock, grunge, alt. rock, punk rock, post grunge, some jazz fusion.
metal: traditional/nwobhm, thrash/speed metal, doom metal, prog metal, death metal, power metal, hair/glam metal, black metal, sludge metal, metalcore(just beginning with this genre)
blues: British blues, electric blues, Texas Blues
country: Alt country, classic country, outlaw country, some modern country
Pop: 60s/70s, folk pop, prog pop, power pop
rap: old school or underground. (I'm looking for recs in this genre the most. I like all styles (at least American), as long as it's not something like Lil Wayne).
MY RATING SYSTEM:
Basically, anything 4.0-5.0 I'd recommend to music fans in general. They're my want to own/buy or must buy/own categories
3.0/3.5 are recommended if you're a fan of the genre(s) that an album falls under. Some 2.5 ratings may be included. Most I want to own, but it might not be as wanted as the higher rated albums.
2.5s, decide for yourself. You might like them. Good for a listen or 3 to make up my mind.
2.0s and below, are not recommended. 2.0s might have a good song. However most have little or no good things to warrant ownership or usually, a full listen or at least not multiple listens
I rate albums/movies based upon how much I enjoyed them/my own feelings about them. I don't take into account any popularity or anything.

I'm feeling good. I hope you discover a lot of new stuff for your collection and I see your love to vinyl is unstoppable.
Btw, I read your bio and I think do to your liking of albums over over bands and your liking of 60's and 70's and folk pop, you would enjoy Nancy & Lee. It's a very cute album with some of my favorite baroque pop tunes ever on here.
Happy listening and feel free to message me anytime :)
Rock on brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! \m/
