Top-down

Genre
Top-down video games are played from a overhead view above the player character. The angle used by the camera is fixed and with no inclination, although it is common that the objects have a little perspective to give them depth. The perspective is characteristic of top-down racing and multidirectional shooter, and very common in other genres, in particular before the first appearance of 3D.
