Batman: Arkham Knight is a fitting conclusion to Rocksteady's fantastic Batman series of video games - not that it has much competition, but this is by far the best video game series to be based on a superhero property. It has stunning graphics, a large open world and exhilarating gameplay. All of this is topped off by a rewarding levelling up and skill system, which allows you to get some pretty sweet new combat skills and the like, meaning you always want to improve yourself. It's also a real thrill to be able to speed around the streets of Gotham in the batmobile at long last. Top it all off with a bittersweet story with longtime fan favourites Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill returning to voice Batman and the Joker respectively and you have one hell of a game.
But, alas, the game ain't perfect. The batmobile, while cool at first, is often forced upon you, which can be very frustrating and sometimes results in exasperating tank battles. The story for the most part is interesting, but Batman fans will have little issue figuring out the plot twists way ahead of their reveal and the second ending (which requires 100% completion) is underwhelming to say the least. On top of all that, the lack of boss battles is troubling and the side missions just aren't as interesting or varied as in the superb Arkham City.
Batman: Arkham Knight sure isn't perfect, but it's definitely a great game which takes what Arkham City did and improves upon it for the most part; the thing is, it does add a couple of frustrating issues which prevent it from being the best in the series. Regardless, I would definitely recommend this game to any and all Batman fans and gamers in general.

people shit a lot on this game's story but it's really not much worse than the other games the strong point of these narratives always has been the performances and how Rocksteady understands these characters well, but the writing was never that good
the only game I actually think the story is very good is Origins, which wasn't even made by Rocksteady
glad this appears to be getting the "old game that used to be much maligned now is getting retroactively reevaluated in comparison to newer, more divisive game" treatment
Probably the weakest of the trilogy thanks to overuse of the Batmobile but still better than Spider-Man 2018. Huge variety of sidequests most of which have actual stories and satisfying conclusions, not just collecting things or beating up the same guys in the same scenarios over and over. Man-bat's sidequest stands out to me. Having to manually find and land on him without relying just on the quest marker, learning about his backstory, all great.
Massively underrated, these games each one-upped each other in my opinion. Batmobile sections were fun and often interesting besides some of Riddler's puzzles/races. And it definitely doesn't constitute nearly as much of the game as some people make it out to.
