Same core gameplay issues of its predecessor, but slightly more polished and with a much better setting and more interesting characters.

Thickest atmosphere I have ever experienced in a videogame (thanks to some great music and art direction), so many memorable characters and bosses, very satisfying sense of progression. This game has so much content it does not even know where to put it.

This game was veeeery ahead of its time

When the story was charming and the Disney factor was actually important. Too stiff mechanically, and nowadays pretty much every single one of my playthroughs ends at the Little Mermaid world.

Although it has some of the most emotionally impactful moment in the series, it's slow and boring as fuck.

This is when the franchise became unredeemable.
