really want to finish this one again but the remaster is unplayable and crashes constantly. miss this one i think it's better than the first

never actually finished this one until this year even though bioshock 2 was a childhood favorite. played the remaster and it's really sleek and fun

the first game i ever beat! fun to come back to but the ending's a little underwhelming after you've beat it once. (single-player)

i know it's become like a meme game but it's still really fun to play

one time my friend who had never played any smash bros game before beat me playing kirby 10 times in a row and i had to put this game down for, like, a couple of months after that

i picked moon over sun because i was so used to being up all night that i figured it was reasonable. then i started waking up in the morning and all the time based events flipped and i probably shoulda bought sun. i dont regret it though. memorable moment is the absolute fucking MOMENT i had when crabrawler was announced. i damn near had a meltdown

despite being a fucking MONSTER when this was announced i remember being...a little upset about this one. i cant remember why. i think it's got really fun mechanics though and i loved being able to use my newer gen 3 favs in a Modern Environment. maybe i should give this one another go

despite being a remake, probably one of the best games in the entire goddamn series. the pokemon following and the huge post game and the graphics and the new soundtrack....played this when it came out and subsequently had this "thing" in high school where, as a rattata fan named joey, i decided that i was THE youngster joey from the pokemon games. so i did, like, this stupid bit on the nuzlocke forums where i half-roleplayed as him when i was 12-13 but i was still pretending to be an older teenager online so it just looked kinda funky. this is the game that made ampharos and espeon favorites of mine...sudowoodo came later

admittedly, this took me longer to beat than any other pokemon game i've ever played. it's still the hardest pokemon game to me. maybe i just dont have the attention span to walk places and do things. this game made me fall in love with golduck

got this for my birthday a year after it came out, played it constantly, busted ass to get like....7 gyms in. then my friend ethan gravitt (see: FireRed notes) put my cartridge in a gameshark and corrupted my file. this is why it was my least favorite pokemon game for a long time. it's a really good game though

this is the first BIG game i remember playing and loving. at around the 4th gym on my first save file i accidentally put my sceptile in the box (the only member of my team leveled up because i was 6 years old) and then tried to "release" it from the box and. well. restarted my file. ~200 hours overall

i actually played LeafGreen before i played FireRed. it was my friend ethan gravitt's copy and he told me not to save over his file, but then he decided that actually i could have it and he let me keep it and i was so happy but i thought that i still was not supposed to save over his file. naturally i kept my gba on as long as i could and then when the battery died i just :|..................well my copy was stolen by my brother anyway. i remember one save file on firered where i ran a dugtrio as my ace for the entire game. i named it troy and now i name all of my dugtrios troy. also got into rattata because of this game. fuck knows how many hours i have on this one ill be real. current copy was a gift
