There's no doubt that Sonic Frontiers is an incredibly strong foundation for the future of the series as it presents new ideas that often work. Unfortunately, it's still not the polished Sonic experience I've been wanting as the game is loaded with jank and the open world is one of the most shallow of its kind. The best excitement this game will provide are the cyberspace levels, the crazy-awesome boss battles, decent and serviceable story, and extremely good soundtrack.

It's practically Capcom's full-fledged apology for the lackluster Street Fighter 5. SF6 is nothing short of marvelous in almost every manner of a fighting game. It's loaded with content, personality, color, style, and tight gameplay mechanics that both veterans and newbies will feel right at home in. Capcom put so much passion into this game and made me fall in love with Street Fighter all over again.

When we thought that the bar of the live service looter genre couldn't get any lower, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League shows its face. It's repetitive, it's bland, the story is lackluster, and it lacks the identity of the characters in terms of gameplay. The final straw that really turned me off from this game was the UI. Jesus Christ... listen, I go to raves often. I like seeing neon colors and lasers, but holy shit, this is too much. My eyes were hurting and I got a headache playing this game from all of the random colors bombarding my goddamn screen. The fact that this is more seizure-inducing than fucking raves is a massive problem.

A major disappointment as its story is, once again, extremely uninteresting with few plot points that make for a strong impression. Also, I personally find the idea of making enemies into heavier bullet sponges to be rather more annoying than naturally challenging. Such a waste of a DLC that had so much potential after The Witch Queen.

Bungie exceed all expectations with The Witch Queen expansion which provides some of the greatest Destiny 2 content in its history and, by far, the best storytelling that completely redeems and brings its patchy lore into a much more clear perspective.

Played it once out of curiosity. Simply put, Bubsy 3D is one of the ugliest, blandest, and least aesthetically creative game you could possibly ever play, complete with movement controls that make you want to slam your skull against the corner of a table.

Provides an absolutely stunning story with an utterly fantastic cast of characters, including fast-paced and well-designed combat and solid light RPG features that blend into its gameplay seamlessly. It's simply one of the greatest JRPGs I've had the pleasure of experiencing and surely a hell of a first exposure to the Tales of series.

The gameplay is extremely solid as a spec-ops stealth shooter, but the usual Ubisoft flaws really show here as the open world is way too large for its repetitive mission selection.

343 absolutely nailed the shooting mechanics here, but in the end game, they seemed completely lost and flustered when it came to generating content for the game. I don’t know if it was management or the budget they had, but for whatever reason, 343 just weren't ready, not like that's really surprising.

In a time that was oversaturated with zombie games, Dying Light arrives to provide one of the most unique, tense, and immersive experiences among its peers. While story isn't super captivating, the gameplay is truly excellent.

Dabbling in the ARPG genre, Minecraft Dungeons does very little to shake up the formula and doesn't provide much content to keep players around.

If you're into martial arts culture, this game is a dream come true. With only 5 levels and high difficulty, Sifu presents some of the smoothest combat mechanics in videogame history. Include the excellent added arenas content and you have one of the greatest indie games of all time. A perfectionist's dream.

An insanely bloated and padded out slogfest that hardly follows the roots of the series and only succeeds in being repetitive and mindless. The story may be pretty interesting, but it’s nowhere interesting enough for you to have to stand 70+ hours of painfully average gameplay to reach its ending.

With a rather great story to try and work through and some decent cooldown gameplay, the 80-hour grind to progress its story is such a tedious slog that can kill your momentum. Play this one periodically.

While EA clearly tried to destroy this game at the beginning, we do have Disney to thank for getting them to back the hell off, and it resulted in a respectable redemption for a title that seemed doomed from the start. The tactical war aesthetics, large maps, and fun gameplay are heavily reminiscent of Battlefield titles, not that there's anything wrong with that.

At face value, Jump Force seems like it is meant to be something much more ambitious, but instead it is a pure example of obvious shovelware that a large company jumbles together to bait anime fans. The low quality of the game is just blatantly insulting to the medium of the anime community as a whole.
