this is the first fighting game ive ever like put the actual work into to get to a competent level. finally getting close to master rank. something big that sticks out to me is how good the sound design is, and how relevant it is to the gameplay
I'm alot faster at reacting by sound than visually, and the game fully clicked for me when i started hearing when i got a counter-hit or punish counter. Listening to block pressure also really helps with hit confirming when you can hear when you finally broke through. Not sure if that's a standard for fighting games or just a testament to SF's polish
gotta give it up to the game, it's the closest a fighting game has come to getting me to want to actually devote time to playing it online. Put in like 15-20 hours into this game over the first few weeks after I got it.
