5/5 - Albums that fall under this are albums that I consider perfect in every way and have immense emotional/sentimental attachment to.

4.5/5 - The closest to perfect an album can get without being a 5/5. These are albums I consider near perfect and for the most part, the only reason they're not in the highest tier is because of minor issues or I just don't listen to it as often as I should.

4/5 - This is where I start to consider albums somewhat of masterpieces and some of the best of their genre.

3.5/5 - Interesting and held my attention, but not there just yet. This is where I'll start to recommend an album. Anything less I usually won't mention to people unless it's a specific sound they're looking for. Worth listening to more than once.

3/5 - It was alright. A few cool parts here and there, but nothing to write home about. Has at least one good song.

2.5/5 - Not great, not awful. Forgettable, but not trash. Probably uninspired or it wasn't my thing. Nothing outstanding about it.

2/5 - The album was probably just boring, had nothing going on, or was mediocre. Not necessarily bad, but nothing I'll visit again.

1.5/5 - This is the point where rating goes beyond taste and I find something to actually wrong with the album, i.e. songwriting was weak, playing was sloppy, or production was just entirely lacking.

1/5 - This is genuinely awful and I either completely hate the sound or it's trash.

.5/5 - Why.

Overall, as long as it's a 1.5/5 or above, it's still salvageable and has some redeeming quality to it. 1/5 and .5/5 are just lost causes.
