I’m video game autistic.
For those that are nagging me for profile editing. Please, I am only human. I'll fix it when I get the chance.
Always rerating, trying to figure out my criteria. But all I know so far is if you can beat it; it gets a rating of 1.0 or above.
I tend to lean more towards gameplay, and controls. Over everything else. Graphics only matter as long as I can see what I am supposed to be doing. Story I generally take it, or leave it…so you won’t see me rate visual novels because pressing “A” to continue is not engaging to me!
I do try my best to curb my nostalgia for most the stuff I rated, and I’m perfectly aware my graph is top heavy. That because I don’t hate-play a bad game, I got much better things to do than just downvote bad games because MEMES! You folks should do the same.
I’d rather play games that I think its fun. Over games with stories of existentialism with a meta story elements and other depressing shit. I don’t have time to “get good”, I’m an adult with a full time job. Life already sucks, why be reminded of such?
When you play arcade games, especially the early 80s. Play the actual machines rather than using emulators. Certain contexts is lost through that especially if you’re playing a game that uses a trackball. If you can help it, play as much of the old console and computer games with actual hardware and original controllers. I love our modern controls but sometimes you need something authentic…especially if it’s something the developers had in mind and had to work with at the time. But you guys, do you.
Games that is marked as “played” is my final rating.
