Sorry, I know you hate reading these sorts of threads, but this reactionary logic against music thinkpieces written by women (especially when they claim the women are being "sexist") are so baffling to me, yet I don't know if this "colorblind" way of looking at politics is the future.

In all seriousness, though, I'm so sorry, Chris, but it just feels like these toxic RYM threads are becoming more and more frequent. I know I should probably stop going on them (see The Four Agreements and/or that XKCD "SOMEONE IS WRONG ON THE INTERNET"), but I can't help myself, partially because RYM itself has done so much for me over the years, and I don't want to give up hope.

Finals were so damn boring....ugh.

Hope we get a miracle or something next year. This was probably one of the least exciting Playoffs I've ever watched.

I feel like you sort of missed the point of Fight Club. It's a movie that actually criticizes masculinity. Also it's not a "fuck the world" kind of movie, it's more of a "fuck people who have a fuck the world" philosophy

Hey so idk if this is weird or whatever but when I first got into this site around 2010 while I was into Slipknot and Billy Idol and whatever it was pretty formative to my current musical tastes, I loved the community and wanted to get more involved with it but I was an insecure anxious teenager who found the act of adding someone impossible. Back then you and auntler were probably the two people who I sort of looked up to the most, I read your lists and reviews a lot and in a weird way you were one of the most influential people in my adolescence. A lot's happened to me in the years since then, I'm in my fourth year of uni now and I just recently decided to try using this website again. Seeing you still here after all those years and still doing more or less what you were doing back then puts a big smile on my face. Sorry if this came off as weird or creepy but I've been reflecting a lot recently and this is part of that I guess, cheers and good luck on whatever you do!
