Sony Associated Records illustrated label guide
Sony has its name on a wide variety of record labels and imprints. When determining what label to associate with a given release, as a rule of thumb go with what is printed on the medium rather than what is printed on the packaging. Sony Associated Records releases will have the "SAR" logo on the record or CD. If the logo is not present on the medium, then the release probably does not belong to Sony Associated. Sony Music Associated Records and SMEJ Associated Records both use the "SAR" logo.
