Biography
Fazerin Musiikkikauppa (Fazer Music Store) was founded in 1897 by Konrad Georg Fazer and began selling records in 1910. The company was eventually named Musiikki-Fazer and became one of the largest record companies in Finland. In 1981, Musiiki-Fazer purchased PSO, and for a brief period in 1982-83, all recording activities were combined under the name Finnscandia Musiikkiosakeyhtiö. In 1993, Musiikki-Fazer was purchased by Warner Music Group and became part of the Warner Music Finland branch. The company closed in 1998.
