Biography
The company was formed in 1975 by Yasufumi Higurashi and Akira Kochi to commercialize a magazine called "The Blues", a newsletter specializing in Blues music. Blues Interactions is perhaps most well-known for the label P-Vine Records, which was founded just a year later in 1976. In 1991, the music publisher Peter Music Co., Ltd. and the marketing/distribution company P-Vine Records, Inc. were created. In 2006, Blues Interactions entered into a partnership with Space Shower Networks Inc., then eventually became a division of Space Shower Networks in 2007. Restructuring within the company resulted in P-Vine Records, Inc. and SUBSTANCE Records Corp. merging with Blues Interactions to form Blues Interactions Corporation in 2008. Further restructuring occurred in 2011, with the Blues Interactions company being renamed P-Vine Inc.
