Haha think I stand more chance of Prime Minister. Well it doesn't look as if even a day of Latitude is going to sell out this year and normally the Saturday does at least. Hopefully their gamble on big name mainstream headliners has failed miserably and they go back to Nick Cave headlining all 3 nights next year.

Yeah enjoyed the Tempest Glastonbury set so thought I'd check out the new album. I saw her in Norwich around the time of the debut album as one of my mates is a big fan but I wasn't overly taken by her at the time. Seems as if she's really stepped up a few leagues though. Pretty sure I saw her in the poetry tent at Latitude years ago too actually but that Glastonbury set was incredible, especially the opening poem.

Yeah with those video messages I was torn between a shit wrestler or Willie Thorne for you but I know your love of Willie runs deep so opted for him.

Nice one, she's been one of my favourites over the last few years but I don't recall you ever listening to her before. Cerulean Salt is my favourite album she's done but this new one is a bit of a return to form for me after I found the last one a slight dip in form.

I just saw on Songkick you've got several gigs in a row the week after next. Don't think you'll be able to hack it bruv, just warning you now.

The first album will probably be a bit lo-fi for you, it's mostly acoustic stuff. If you like the track from the new album you'll probably enjoy the last couple of albums more as they were a better produced full band sound.

Properly buzzing from that Pixies gig the other night, was so good bruv.

Yeah there's some horrific stuff on that Billy Bragg album. I don't mind his non political stuff but that was shockingly poor. I'd heard the single from the new Fleet Foxes on the radio and quite enjoyed it but the album is unremarkable. I think they're one of those acts where if I hear any of the tunes in isolation they sound good but a whole albums worth is too samey.

Starting to feel really weird about Latitude now. Even though the lineups shit part of me wants to be there sat in Keith Allen's tent and dosing up on Imodium so as not to do a poo in the long drops 😭

Yeah he's there. They never make a big deal of announcing it for some reason though. I think the lack of any outdoor thing for me this year has been the killer. That Walthamstow thing you're going to looks to have a fairly interesting lineup at least.

Yeah enjoyed that a lot haha. Not been a great year for film so far though really from what I've seen. Will struggle to get a decent list at the end of the year at this rate.

Have downloaded Endless Poetry and will get round to some of the others at some point. Heard good things about Baby Driver. I think because I normally look at films based on UK cinema release date a lot of the Oscar nominations will technically be in my 2018 list whereas last years batch which I will be including in this years list were disappointing. Toni Erdman is easily my film of the year so far. Looking forward to Happy End, the new film by Michael Haneke though, he's probably my favourite director of recent years. Just a shame it's not out until a few days before Christmas.
