I've tried and tried but between 1982 and 1989 they made 5 albums that border on disco and have no or little resemblance to the Rush of earlier times. I saw a show where Lifeson threatened to quit if they didn't go back to hard rock. Believe me I have listened to those 5 albums over and over trying to like them but I can't.

Hey man, have you heard Blue Hour by Stanley Turrentine with the Three Sounds? The record perfectly suits the title, but there is one moment on the last track, "Willow Weep for Me," where Gene Harris is about to get into his solo and he just freaks out and hammers into his keys, like "I can't take this low key ish anymore!"
