Wishlist [music] = I want to listen to this album. / Already listened to it in the past but can't remember a fucking thing. I should get back into it.
Wishlist [movies] = Got it (DVD or digital), and I'm going to watch it sooner or later.
Whenever I (re-)listen to an album I may bump its rating.
If I give an album (or a movie) a very low rating it doesn't necessarily mean that I listened to it in its entirety: if I hardly manage to get through the first half and feel a bit nauseated, I don't think I need to endure the other half and puke when it's over.
Also, I don't care that much about "historical" importance: I put my feelings before everything; it's senseless to give an album a high rating only because it's been "important" for a genre or even for the whole music. Why bother? I'm here to express my opinion simply as a (biased, fickle and probably ignorant) listener, not as an omniscient critic.
Likewise, perfection is quite an overrated concept and it doesn't belong to this world - I might find a flaw even in some of my favourite albums/movies, but it really doesn't matter as long as they give me the strongest and deepest feelings.
If there's a kind of RYMer I usually don't trust, it's the one who rates something like 30k albums and appreciates only a handful of them. Come on. It's not a fucking competition and you're not cool if you like 2% of the tons of music you (have not) listened to: I know we're human beings and we just can't love everything, and it's actually good to be a bit choosy sometimes, but not to the extent of being a pretentious prick.
I swear I'm not such a bore in real life! :(

Robe come "St.
I mean, yeah I think I'm pretty much seeking her out for something unpleasant. She seems interesting - I don't really know what to compare her to.
E riascoltalo.
E ancora.
E' un discone della madonnah.
