naaah kayo dot don't tryhard so much. ok they did on the third album but in a different direction (classical). also, i've no idea how they're related to brutal prog tbh. seriously stop coming to me with your prog problems! :D i barely know the classics, i only have so much prog rated on this site because 1. prog fans tend to rate "prog" on everything they've ever listened to and 2. the site has some shitty genre parenting, for example krautrock is considered prog which is often not the case, for example neu! or cluster are as prog as i am queen elizabeth! thank you for the link though, might check'em!

i'm too lazy to check the top 100 but i remember so many times seeing albums that have little to do with prog being labeled as prog. this is mostly the case with artists that at one point played prog but have since moved forward. i wouldn't necessarily say the parenting system is dumb, it's just that with so many genres some inaccuracies are bound to happen and krautrock being under prog is one of them. just another consequence of art being such a hard thing to classify, really any system will fail
