I love music,I seem to be listening more and more to records I grew up with or heard back in my 20's,that was in the 1980's and a time when me and the wife had nothing much except a bed a record player and radio and no kids!
I seem to be alot more reflective or nostalgic these days since waking up one day and thinking... oh my god half my life is gone already.....if I was still interested in writing songs I'd definately be writing about my own mortality and mid life crisis.
I tend to give high ratings on here as most of the stuff I own I love,I don't see the point in buying 25 CD`s a week just to rate them on this site or sit on the computer downloading more stuff than you will ever listen to.
I have however developed a need to buy everything a band I like does!
The only trouble with being a completist is that it can get expensive and frustrating especially in these days of Ebay being so crap and out of print Cd's being even harder to find!
My collecting is becoming a real problem and I will soon either have to buy a new house or some storage space...I'm never going to get through half of the stuff I have to review on here!

I agree 100% with your Deacon Blue review. I loved "Raintown" and even remember the day I bought it at Cut Corners Records in Lexington, KY back in 1987. But everything after Raintown was a disappointment to me. How do you lose such great potential? Guess I'll never understand!

That is interesting that we are both into JoBoxers at the same time. I barely remember them from the 1980s because they were never very popular here in the States. I do remember seeing their first (and only released) album at Pyramid Records back in the early 80s, and being curious about them. Last week I was looking for a Simply Red album on Amazon and that same JoBoxers album came up as a suggestion from Amazon, so I downloaded the Essential JoBoxers and am enjoying it. Cheers!

Read your reviews of The Bangles albums! Thought that they were funny. As you can tell from my profile pic, I'm a huge fan of them myself.

    Happy listening!

    Friended you!

Your review for Peter Gabriel's So album I couldn't agree with more. Not a fan of Kate Bush at all. I tried her Withering Heights video and thought it was one of the most bizarre things that I've ever seen. Not sure I'll give her a listen again. Or at least any time soon

Thanks for the welcome. Minidisc! Wow! I have quite a few live shows on Minidisc from the late 90's.
