Cut 2 hours from this and it'd make for a better experience. Whenever you get the soul gamecube or whatever, it felt like the game should've just ended by that point
I was so prepared to like this but it's too monotonous. The weapons don't feel good to shoot, enemy placement is super predictable and every location looks the same. When something is released that's different there tends to be fan backlash and years divorced from that backlash we can look back in hindsight and praise a game despite being so different. Doom 3 does not need this critical evolution. The things people disliked about it in 2004 are still justifiable complaints.
