Overhyped on Steam in my opinion. The artwork is pretty much superb, but the gameplay in at least the beginning is.. okay. Seems like a worse Binding of Isaac rogue-like. The base building seems fairly too shallow for me, but it’s a neat addition at the minimum.

What to say about Cyberpunk.. personally I feel like it’s a good game, however it is not much of an RPG. The RPG-esque elements are nearly non-existent in the game and it plays more like a immersive world action shooter with a cool story and quests. If there really is anything for me to say that hasn’t been said already is that I love the world. Exploring Night City is just pure fun and hell, if they added a bit more RPG elements and more of an “alive” feeling to the world, this game would easily be a 10 for me. It gets me excited for future RPG’s and RPG’s on modern tech (from AAA studios at least..).

It’s a solid game with a lot of good qualities, however it is just a bit too grind heavy for me towards the latter half of the game. I can understand the reasoning of building up your roster to be stronger and stronger to pursue the end but it just wasn’t worth it to me. I hope that the second game is a bit less focused on the grind and more so on the story and dialogue because those were great in this entry.

Hmmm, DR2 did not leave as much of an impression on me as DR1 did when I was younger. Coming back to play this game was an okay experience. I would have rated it 7.5 back when this came out, but playing it now, the AI can be janky, the controls can be janky, the lack of QoL of the UI and inventory management can really hurt the game. A game like DR1 or even this game with a better story and voice acting could be a great game, done with modern tech and UI/UX and AI. Not a bad game, but no great.

For what I’m assuming is some random independent studio, the game is solid. This review is only for the beta since the whole game has not come out yet. The world is cool, sort of like a Dune-esque, Fallout, and Lovecraftian monsters combo. The combat was actually surprisingly difficult at first, almost like a side scrolling Dark Souls type of combat. The traveling is essentially how Fallout 1/2 did it where you go to the map view and travel as a little dot across the map which is cool. Reason for the 7 is that it is definitely somewhat unfinished and I would say personally I didn’t get to immersed into the world at times, just felt like I was playing some random flash game at moments. If they crank up the quality and things to do in the game up this could easily be a great game. Hell, some voice acting would be great too.

Probably the best game I’ve played in awhile, already beat it twice and honestly, I look forward to the next play through. An absolutely enveloping world that you can get lost in with great, albeit sometimes pretentious, writing that makes you constantly think. If I had to pick my “game to bring to an abandoned island” I would definitely consider Disco Elysium.

Meh, it’s a relaxing game but.. too relaxing. Sort of like a relax, yet puzzle type game. I feel like it’s something that girls would like to play on their phone like Candy Crush, 2048, etc.. Nice relaxing music and the art style is cute, but not a game I really would enjoy personally.

Lol well, I did drop it, but damn it is a really good game. It is, for me at least, as good as Bloodborne was and FromSoft really did out do themselves with this game. It had mild/medium hype and man did it deliver. I understand their perspective in that they did expect the game to blow up so big as it did and I’m happy for them. For me it’s only a 9 because I do enjoy somewhat more optimistic, “I have a buddy”, type of games. Elden Ring feels bleak and a little daunting at times, which is super cool, but can, for me, leave the player feeling.. lonely? Either way, it’s an amazing game and if FromSoft can go above and beyond this for their next game..I’m sure it would be an easy 10.

Good story and great character choice dynamics in the game, but it’s just dated for me. Dated in a way that makes the game just unenjoyable to play really. That this was made in 1997 though is actually incredible, in that context it makes me rethink the score honestly. Game is definitely difficult and takes some time to understand, the times when there is voice acting is pretty damn great and I loved the character CGI animation things they made for them. Yes, I can definitely see how this set up the Fallout franchise to be on of the most successful RPG franchises in the world, it really is great. FOR THE TIME IT’S AN EASY 9. JUST OLD.

Good game, much more cute and goofy than I expected it to be. Voice acting was great and the art was good as well. Story felt a tad short and some weapons seem to be bad to me, however I’ve only played ~18 hours. After re-reading the review months later, I would say Hades is at least an 8.5, I guess just for me personally I don’t find much interest in beating the game over and over with the different weapons after completing it twice..

It’s just too tedious game play wise for me to continue going. I really do enjoy the entire aesthetic for the game, but yes, the game play is exhausting honestly. It may be 6.5 about just because I find the creativity within in the game to be pretty great.

I have mixed feelings about the game. It was cute and interesting, the story and characters weren’t bad for the most part. Just never really got too into the world for some reason. I think voice acting may have helped bolster the game for me honestly. Some really cute parts, like where the little girl takes your hat, and the fact you have to choose where to eat dinner. While writing this I did find it interesting to reflect it back on myself in how Andreas had to spend his day. Talking to the townsfolk, working on his masterpiece, eating with who he chooses to. I’m not sure why but I did not like how you choose who it is to be executed. I guess because the game seems so cute and mildly tame, it just felt wrong, especially with the conclusion of how much evidence you can truly get. Maybe will come back to finish.

Not really for me honestly. It’s a good game for absolute mindless and calm, but it doesn’t hit for me in that way enough that I love it. The atmosphere is happy, but like “too” happy in a plastic-y, uncanny valley way. Think Truck Simulator would be more my speed and I haven't even played it. For me personally Skate will always hold my absolute heart for mindless and relaxing gameplay. This isn’t close.

It at it’s heart has something good going, the lore is fairly interesting and the world is somewhat nicely laid out. However, the game play itself is much too dry to me. I don’t mind “book reading” type games like VN’s or something like Disco Elysium, but this really just did not do much for me. I found it quite hard to want to go through the walls of text because you could somewhat easily skim through the text and assume what was said according to the responses. I also strongly dislike that you don’t see yourself, other people, or even the monsters. It’s all left to imagination, was it really that hard to make a pixel sprite of some of that at all? I mean whatever a Saurion is sounds super cool but I want to see it, not imagine it.

Finally a good indie Steam game! Sci-fi horror survival game that reminded me of a combo between BLAME manga aesthetics and Silent Hill style story telling and game play. Game was impressively made with solid graphics, solid game play itself, and a well thought out story line (albeit it is quite confusing, in a good way). This is one of those games I was craving to see how the story progressed and didn’t want to put down. The swaps between 1st person in certain cut scenes were great. The sort of “glitch-horror” modern aesthetic it presented was done well too. Definitely creators to keep an eye on if they are ever going to make another game!

It’s a good game. Just a solid rogue-like game really. Sometimes a bit frustrating but definitely a solid time killer, feel like Steam ratings have it a bit over hyped in my opinion.
