I have over 140 hours in this game and I regret none of it. And that's only going to grow with time, as what little I've played of New Horizons seems to take a lot of steps back from what I loved about this game so much.

1/16/24: Beat it again after picking up an actual NES. Can be frustrating, especially Joker, but for the most part this is about as close to an "NES hard" game that's actually fair as you can get. It's tight, you have plenty of options on traversing stages, and it's just fun.

Pretty cool remake of Half Life 1. It is also about 5 hours too long.

Yeah I like bloons, but I can't imagine really playing this for that long. *145 hours later* ....well shit.

One of the most charming games I've ever played with some of the most shallow missions and combat I've ever played. I sound harsh here, but the story and characters make this game, and I did have a lot of fun with some missions, so overall I'm actually really positive.

This game gets bonus points for being a JRPG that's actually a lot of fun to play throughout the entire game, without it ever feeling boring or slow. Amazing characters and plot as well, with some of the best world-building and dialogue I've ever seen in a video game. Pretty much perfect as JRPGs go, and easily one of the best games I've ever played.
