I've only had east kentucky public education, so any philosophy I've bothered to read into was on my own, out of novelty, and very badly connected in honest interests, somewhere between me being an aesthetically/disciplinary concerned Christian (half Catholic upbringing, though apparently very different from others) and hoping to find overarching similarities in thought elsewhere. I can only imagine the relationship is a matter of internal perspective vs lofty existential doubt, and in a non-western context it seems like an almost normalized concept across multiple cultures with generally singular names. It's also hard to articulate it beyond a generic "denial of fate?" narrative, despite being aware it's not at all that. I think the modern context of that line of thought is interesting as opposed to attempting to analyze any sort of epics of the past (which to me unfortunately tend to yield to being character studies anyway), but I'm not exactly aware of where to look for further banter or actual published material.
