    I'm on the same line. The characters of Leland Palmer and BOB were greatly shaped and superbly acted. When the serie was forced to change direction these two disappeared leaving the scene to embarassing developments (like the useless stories of James and Nadine/Ed). Luckilly, in the end we got the marvellous last episode (to me, the best of both seasons) which manages to wash away all that crap.

    I'm a fan of Aerosmith's twin-guitar attack on songs like "Combination", and their willingness to at the same time mix things up with R&B grooves like "Last Child" and vocal harmonies like on "Sick as a Dog". I need to revisit a lot of 70s hard rock music, but I remember being frustrated by how same-y a lot of it sounded, which isn't an issue here. Rocks gets a higher rating than say Toys in the Attic, as the former is the only one where I hold the deep cuts like "Combination", "Sick as a Dog", "Rats in the Cellar", and "Nobody's Fault" in relatively high esteem.

    For what it's worth, going by past experience, I expect whenever I do revisit 70s heavy metal that Black Sabbath and Aerosmith won't stick out like a sore thumb, there should be more of a balance. At a guess the ratings of other albums will go up, but I don't know for sure.

    Its very jazz rocky, the main songwriter is praised mostly for his lyrics and use of unusual chord progressions.
    His voice is kind of an acquired taste, I find it quite tender and languid. (Doscientos Años is the highlight, dreamy little number)
    I think you'll deem it just OK, nothing too remarkable, but Id definetly recommend it.
