Originally a Londoner (UK), relocated to Canada 1991. A record collector and music nut since the age of 5 (1957), I have also become a singer, guitarist, percussionist and community radio DJ.
While I have purged the collection a few times, I still have most of everything I ever had, including way too many 78s. My tastes are all over the map but generally include nothing too high-brow, schmaltzy or heavy. I like lots of rhythm, vocal harmony and fun. I don't really care how old or new my music is but the best eras for me are (very roughly) 1937-46, 1956-58 and 1963-76. I began cataloguing here in late Jan 2012 and have done all but the most tricky parts. There are about 3500 items (close to 30,000 songs) in all and it's slow going now. I am only adding my own collection, plus a small wishlist and a few items I needed to add for inclusion in lists.
Some of my reviews are just that; reviews. Others are personal observations, little stories, jokes disguised as reviews, reviews disguised as jokes, and some are downright daft. Take them as you will. Comments always welcome.
