Please note that my opinions have changed a lot over the years, so if you see one of my older reviews in which I tend to be more aggressive in my criticism, I very likely do not feel that way anymore. As much time as it would take, I'm honestly considering re-evaluating every last one of my ratings and reviews... even if those opinions will inevitably change as well...

Yeah, after Around The Sun the Acceelrate album was a good breath :)
Don't expect it to sound a lot like The Strokes, but:
1. for a while I loved it much more than First Impressions..., and one of the reasons was that it was closer to the older Strokes. Why? See below.
2. when The Strokes go solo, they don't sound like the band, but they do sound like its respective elements:
Julian the gritty one, Niko the reggae/sunshiny one, Fab the twee/indie-pop one, Nick the hard-rock dude, and Albert the fragile and hooky one ;)
