i did not enjoy playing this game. it's not incompetently made, and yet playing it depressed me so much more than any other game i've ever played. fuck this dumbass backtracking and samey environments which on multiple occasions confused the fuck out of me. fuck the increased emphasis on boring ass combat. the platforming is still relatively ok in this, but the level design just isn't on the same level here. sot constantly had levels with different themes, which taught you different things each time. good luck learning anything here except that you want to kill yourself. fuck the change in tone most of all, not only is the prince edgy as fuck, he's just a plain ass dick in this game. he murders one chick at the very beginning and seems to be very happy about it in the first hour of the game. then he realises that she was just taking orders from some other chick, but for some reason tries to save her? the fuck bro

this game is not scary. it is barely a game. it is a walking sim. it kind of looks cool though.

genius game. doesn't do much with the gimmick, has a weak stupidly saccharine and tropey first half. completely subverts the expectations with the second half to deliver an amazing message. still doesn't save how generic the start of the story feels.

stands out in the world of art games to me for its novelty. There's plenty of rough edges here: it's unbelievably slow, a little too showoffy and surreal, the small bits of dialogue the characters speak can seem just a little too on the nose. That said, some technical issues aside, there's lots to the art design that really holds up. The characters themselves serve as explorations of the experiences of women that was at the time underepresented in video games. The music bruh, the music.
