Thanks for the comments - and I will add the albums you suggested to my wishlist. It may take me a while to get around to them but I'll get there eventually.
You know I tried a little Yes, a greatest hits set back in college (fresh year) and it just wasnt my thing. I know it was a greatest hits, so that tends to be a bit too focused on the hits sometimes (and especially for a band like Yes) when the big fans probably get into the records....but I just never really gave them much of a real dedicated listen.....I am a bit wishy washy on prog at times, though obv I like some guys that dabble in it. I actually kind of like ELO a bit, but more just on the hits end of things (I know presumign your a YES fan you probably didn't want to hear that :) lol).
I never had to experience the ELO fandom....I do not tend to like their albums much because there's only so much of that patented Jeff Lynne production that you can take in one sitting, but that said some of the individual songs are pretty great (EL Dorado is just brilliant--the song--for one) As is the 10538 Overture.
I've had a few Move records over the years--there's some amazing music, and some misses too, and even grabbed a Wizzard album, but the Wizzard album wasn't at all what I was expecting (more of a Blackberry Way kind of stuff is what I expected, but Wizzard was just not too my thing).
I know I should check out Yes...I had a hits set as a Senior in high school/fresh in college (from one of those music subscription places--BMG which aren't around anymore); but it wasn't my thing then....so that kind of kept them at bay.
But I may take a deeper dive into Fragile in a bit based on your rec. Thanks
I just checked out Fragile from my library.....will give it a couple of spins over the next few weeks. Thought I'd let you know. Take care and thanks for the recommendation.
