My tastes are fairly broad but my listening habits tend to be dictated by other interests - currently I'm considering ways in which the idea of the 'popular' and 'folk' feeds in to culture high and low.
The list below is of music I own on CD and vinyl so represents a mix of collecting stages since about 1990.
Since early 2012 I have regained my interest in vinyl; as much of the music I favour would be far too expensive to buy on record I have been discovering the joys of 60s/70s easy listening which can easily be found in charity shops. OK so much of it isn't great musically - but some of the covers are fantastic - and I have found a few gems.
I buy far less easy listening these days and have been concentrating more on folk music from the UK and Ireland.
