Welcome. My love of music goes back as far as I can remember. Growing up in Los Angeles in the sixties meant that our cheesy little AM radios were all that we ever needed to hear countless hours of classic pop and rock and Motown. We took them down to our beautiful beaches, and girl-watched to our hearts' content. With a childhood like that, how could anyone NOT love music? "My Cherie Amour" ... "Crystal Blue Persuasion" ... "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" ... "The Girl From Ipanema" ... Ooh la la! Once puberty hit, I turned to the harder rock acts that were hitting the radio, like Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, Doobies, etc. In high school the rock got even harder. Our crowd listened to almost nothing but bands like Zep, Hendrix, Doors, Nugent, Van Halen, etc. Though, we did get some "fancier" acts like Jeff Beck and Al Di Meola and Yes, etc. In my twenties, I had a job at the post office that allowed headphones during work, so I naturally just burnt out on all those hours of rock; so I experimented with classical, first ... then jazz. I've never looked back. Other than adding an interest in World Music, and a little old-school punk, I've been listening to as much classical and jazz as pop and rock. It's all great, really; it's just nice to have options for the different moods that I get into. Peace. :-)
