I'll be honest. I commend you for that. Still, the devil has ways of soaking things into the mind. I admit, I have actually prayed that my mindset and Christianity would become so strong that I'd be able to listen to Bathory and other bands and COMPLETELY withstand that. Of course, I only did that once. But I'd say my mind is reaching that mindset. Still, I do believe that God wouldn't want me associating myself with that kind of music. However, I commend you for your ability to remain Christian while listening to some of that music. I do think you have a good approach. I don't know if God thinks that way, but your walk with God is only someone else's business if you allow it to be, so I won't do any preaching to you.
Actually, I'll admit. One thing I greatly love is Death Note because it's able to touch on religious and logical topics without being blasphemous or satanic, even if one of the main characters is a shinigami. I'm just very careful about what I listen to. I won't argue with bands about their views on Christianity, because I'm positive their talking about the mainstream idea of Christianity, which is not the brand I follow. It's a very personal kind that I follow, and I mean that both literally and philosophically. But if I do end up listening to some black metal like that in the future, I don't think I'm in that mindset now. My sister watches Supernatural, and she's fine, so it is possible I could take an example from her and you.

Actually, I just checked the lyrics to "The Golden Walls of Heaven." The last two or three verses just disgust me. Masturbating on the throne of God? I know that they do actually think religion and Satanism as well as Chrisitanity are "religious hokey-pokey." But it's clear they'd much more quickly insult Christianiy, and even God. I can't listen to that without throwing up. Sorry. If you can, then I commend you for your ability to forgive them so patiently.

You have a very respectable way of thinking things through. I love thinking about things. I guess my biggest problem is that people don't want to think. They usually want the easy answer or easy way. But I admire thinkers.
