I love all kinds of music, from classical to classic rock. I play guitar, harmonica, piano, and trombone. I'm open to anyone who wishes to talk about music.
I love reading and writing reviews. That's why I joined this site. It's hooked me up with some of the best music I've ever heard; some of it obscure, some if popular with music collectors and addicts, and some even that everyone knows.
ATTN: I am working extensively on reviews. I am reviewing albums as a whole as well as individual songs. Also, if I hear an album again after a review is written, the review is subject to change. Every major change will be bumped to the most recent edit date. Compilations will include my general impression of the artist and review of the work on the set that I do not own on an album already.
I am finally fulfilling my goal of redoing some of my less awesome Bob Dylan reviews, and review most, if not all of his work. I've been debating what do to about the Bootleg Series. I've decided that I will review the live discs, 4, 5, and 6 after I've reviewed all the songs released on the CDs. So, Vol. 4 will be after "Blonde on Blonde," Vol. 5 after "Desire" (though it was recorded first), and Vol. 6 after "Bringing it All Back Home." I will review Vol. 1-3, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 after I am done with the complete studio discography, due to the fact that I don't want to be interrupted in the true works. I also think that hearing the three 65-66 albums, then all the studio stuff from 1-3, the six discs of 12, and then the live stuff from that period would be hard to do and maintain inspiration. Therefore, the bulk of the amazing series will stand as a brilliant end cap to his career.
I'm trying to keep a steady 250 word minimum to reviews; though on lesser compilations and albums it could be less, though they'll be 500+ on particularly excellent albums.
