RATINGS SYSTEM:

5.0 STARS - These are my ultimate. I recommend these with all my life. I highly recommend giving them a decent listen... that means many listens. Try to ignore any annoying hype about the release. Listen to it without unrealistic expectation. Don't expect to be able to love it (or dislike it) just because it is highly regarded by many (or by me). Don't expect it to soon be amongst your 5 star rated albums... I don't expect them to be, because music is too much a personal thing. Also try to ignore popularity completely when listening to it. Try not to treat it unfairly due to it not being a super popular release. Some music I rate highly is not as popular as I would expect it to be, but in my mind I 100% believe that of all the music I have ever heard, it's the absolute pinnacle. They are the best. They may not even be what I would consider 'favourites', yet I still consider them the best. I try not to rate music for sentimental reasons. I don't want personal bias to skew the rating for my favourite bands. The 5 star albums are what I consider to be undoubtedly the ultimate. And it is personal preference of course. I don't expect others to experience the greatness I hear. They are simply albums well worthy of tracking down. More worthy than anything else, in my opinion.

4.5 STARS - 3 STARS - All albums rated 3.0 stars and above are well worth checking out. Maybe. A lot of them I'm not all that familiar with yet to really know.

2.5 STARS - 1 STAR - I don't recommend these albums to anyone unless they already consider themselves a fan of the artist. They are not worthy of being the first album of the artist you purchase. I don't want people to get these albums as their first exposure to the artist, as it will probably also be the last album by the artist they get. There are far better places to start... come to these ones when you are a fan.

0.5 STARS - Crazy Frog. These are the worst albums I have heard. Entirely unenjoyable. No redeeming qualities.
