~The Mysteries of maaaldoror's Rating Criteria Revealed~
5- Perfect in every way, usually has some sort of emotional connection.
4.5- Pretty much the same as a 5, but without the emotional connection.
4- Excellent, a few minor setbacks but nothing bad.
3.5- Worth hearing many times, one or two glaring flaws.
3- Mediocre, kind of don't feel strongly about it either way but I'll give it another listen.
2.5- Acceptable at best and disappointing at worst.
2- Boring, probably not worth hearing again.
1.5- Pretty bad, maybe one good thing.
1- Just terrible in every way.
0.5- Its terrible-ness reaches levels I never thought existed, may or may not be enjoyably bad.
In the words of my musician buds: The most musically-inclined non-musician ever.
While art/painting is my 'true calling' I'm also a gigantic music nerd and obsessive enough about it that the idea of cataloging/rating it is extremely appealing. Also it aides me in my secret plan to amass more internet indie-cred.

(End note: sometimes I end up disappearing from here for a while so don't trip if there's a lull in my activity sometimes.)

THE NOSTALGIA
yeah i'm just working and not doing much of anything with my life, for now that is. are you from the east bay or a transplant from elsewhere?
Ugh yeaah, the gentrification out here is rising to astounding levels. Just last summer I remember searching around West Oakland/East Oakland for a spot to live, and most of those 1-bedrooms have skyrocketed (I know someone who has a room for $975 right by West Oakland BART).
I luckily found a tiny cottage I live in alone in Berkeley but yeah, Berkeley stinks. I just try to spend as much time away from the city as possible.
TEN-ARROWED!
