Haha you should have seen me a few months ago, one of my activities was actually going through shitty movies. But now that the school year came back I realized how many movies there are to see and how little time we have, so I'll try to only see films that have a chance at being good.

In defense of A Man Escaped or: The Wind Bloweth Where It Listeth[Un condamné à mort s'est échappé ou Le vent souffle où il veut]: In thinking about the editing, I find it useful to convey the sameness of prison life. These men would only know the window, the cell, and the washroom. Agreed on the lack of difficulty in his escape. I loved your thought about the ambiguity in the meaning of the English title's "Man Escaped" and the idea of stapling the opening scene to Le Trou (one of my favorites)!
