My ratings are based on artistic value and/in combination with (in the case of EPs, Albums and Compilations) strength of sequencing. I treat 4-star ratings like most people do 5-star ratings. Therefore, my 4 1/2- and 5-star ratings are reserved for those special items that need to be differentiated from the rest on the basis of their excellence.
