So uh...hey. I have been an avid listener of many genres of metal for about a year and a half now, I have discovered many of the bands from the good people at Nationstates, a free nation simulator/forum.
My specific ratings:
5/5: Absolutely perfect; a thrill ride of genius from song to song, the best of the best and saved for only a select few albums which I consider personally to be perfect in every way.
4.5/5: Flawed perfection; to put it simply. These albums are the ones that I would recommend immensely, but have a few problems that diminish the quality of the work.
4/5: Albums that peaked my interest immensely, but failed to deliver the best listening experience. This is saved for albums that I enjoy, but are not perfect in any way.
3.5/5: A generous ranking to those albums that have really good listening quality in at least 3/4 of the album that they are on, basically an average "good" album.
3/5: Starting to get into the lesser rankings; this ranking would be for those albums that I enjoyed at least moderately, that I would say that they are more good than bad.
2.5/5: The middle ground; these albums are as good as they are bad, every good thing about it is shadowed by an equally "bad" thing.
2/5: These albums have some redeeming qualities about them, but that is instantly out shadowed by the muddled quality of said album.
1.5/5: Almost horrible, these albums have at the most, two enjoyable songs on them - coming from the average album length of ten songs.
1/5: These albums are basically terrible, they have almost no listening quality expect for one thing that makes them endurable.
0.5/5: The worst; these terrible albums are bad through and through, everything that could of went wrong with the album did.
