I'm pretty sure you are awesome in your own ways. But yeah, I see the similarity. Whatcha up to?

ABM = American Black Metal? It's pretty much... Abigail Williams (especially the new album), (some) Absu, Agalloch, Dragonlord, Goatwhore, (some) Judas Iscariot, Leviathan and Wolves in the Throne Room. Aurora Borealis is also alright some of the time. The only American BM i've heard and not really liked was Xasthur, but perhaps that will grow on me in time if I choose to give them more listening time.

Oh okay. Yeah, I guess I just haven't been exposed to a lot of it or haven't retained what i've heard from the subgenre.
