Tom Waits is always recommended.

As tempting as it is to list all my favourite bands that you haven't rated/listed as favourite, any artist with a 5 star album or listed as one of the favs I would easily recommend to anybody. And you should give Tom Waits another try some day.

Hi, I've seen that from the thrad of odd chords progression in pop music you know some music theory, (I don't know how to formulate this question well :) What kind of chords progression are used in Television's Marquee Moon album or song?, or things in the music itself like scales and other that make the sound of their guitar playing distintive? Or what else you could tell me about them (technically speaking). Have a nice day, hope you don't mind to answer :)

hah! well, from that time I have learned about music theory, not like that I am an expert now, but hearing them, and learning about the jazz influence on them at the time of playing, so I guess ''mystery solved''. But still a theoretical and exact musical analysis of the music is something I cannot do. I aprecciate that you remember, though, thanks.
