Passions:
I'm a huge fan of movies, growing up on Samurai movies and all kinds of horror movies mostly, but certainly began branching out as I grew older. If I do have a preference it is for the contemplative and unique movies, and those that open my eyes to another country or speak truths on life.
I occasionally write poetry, but spend most of my time procrastinating on the internet
Hobbies and passions other than movies and TV: Love playing football (english so to some i mean 'soccer').
Love playing poker, in particular No-Limit Texas Holdem, gonna make some money on this, already have made some.
Love listening to music, mainly most forms of ambient, Jazz (prefer Avant-Garde Jazz and Modal Jazz), Folk, some classical, bossa-nova, shoegaze, dream pop, jangle pop and all sorts of other types of music. I legitimately do not think I have a favorite band, and even when picking favorite albums and pieces of music I find that my answers can change rapidly.
AUTUMN NIGHT
Snowhite moon
On the shoulder of the mount,
Sprinkling yellow and red,
From one wave to the other playing
And in the bosom of the sea,
Firing up a scarlet ribbon.
Trees, winds,
From everywhere,
Singing as birds,
Furrowing far a field
Flocking blissfully
And flying in the air...
--- Komitas
"When you like a film for 20 years, it's like a tree, growing on its own inside you. But you're talking about a tree that does not exist, because what really exists is a little plant. What you see in 20 years is still the little plant you saw before."
--- Abbas Kiarostami
"Do you wonder like I do
What goes on inside of you
In the cathedral of the mind
All the worshippers are blind"
--- Robyn Hitchcock
"Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul."
--- Unknown
“Simplicity, patience, compassion.
These three are your greatest treasures.
Simple in actions and thoughts, you return to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies,
you accord with the way things are.
Compassionate toward yourself,
you reconcile all beings in the world.”
--- Lao Tzu
"The opposite of depression is not happiness, but vitality and my life, as I write this, is vital even when sad. I may wake up sometime next year without my mind again; it is not likely to stick around all the time. Meanwhile, however, I have discovered what I would have to call a soul, a part of myself I could never have imagined until one day, seven years ago, when hell came to pay me a surprise visit. It's a precious discovery. Almost every day I feel momentary flashes of hopelessness and wonder every time whether I am slipping. For a petrifying instant here and there, a lightning-quick flash, I want a car to run me over...I hate these feelings but, but I know that they have driven me to look deeper at life, to find and cling to reasons for living, I cannot find it in me to regret entirely the course my life has taken. Every day, I choose, sometimes gamely, and sometimes against the moment's reason, to be alive. Is that not a rare joy?”
