RATING SCALE

5.0 stars - extraterrestrial: no comment (A+)
4.5 stars - perfect: a must-have album, constantly ingenious (A/A-)
4.0 stars - excellent: a should-have album, constantly brilliant or often brilliant and sometimes ingenious (A-/B+)
3.5 stars - great: a could-have album, in parts brilliant/great or predominantly good and sometimes brillant/ingenious (B/B-)
3.0 stars - good: an album (sometimes) lacking either consistency or greatness (C+/C/C-)
2.5 stars - average: an average album (D+/D/D-)
2.0 stars - poor: an album often lacking quality (D-)
1.5 stars - awful: an album constantly lacking quality (E)
1.0 stars - annoying: makes me shiver (F)
0.5 stars - shitty: even worse (F-)


IMPORTANT: The rating scale is constructed such that quality differences between albums with 4.0 and 5.0 stars are much smaller than between, e.g., 2.5 and 3.5 stars.

A+: 5.0 - 4.8 A : 4.7 - 4.5 A- : 4.4 - 4.1
B+ : 4.0 - 3.8 B : 3.7 - 3.5 B- : 3.4 - 3.3
C+ : 3.2 - 3.1 C : 3.0 C- : 2.9 - 2.8
D+ : 2.7 D : 2.6 - 2.4 D- : 2.3 - 1.8
E : 1.7 - 1.3 F : 1.2 - 0.8 F- : < 0.8
