A little more elaboration on my rating system:
5.0 - These albums are what music is all about, for one reason or another. Finding fault with them would be an impossibility. If you like music, you need these.
4.5 - Outstanding. Strongly recommended for people who are interested in getting into that sort of music, and necessity for those who already are.
4.0 - Very good. Strongly recommended for people who already like some of that sort of music, but check out some 4.5 ratings first.
3.5 - Great, but not amazing. Recommended for fans of the style or the band.
3.0 - Pretty cool, but somewhat average or amateur at times. Get these if you're a completionist or already a fan.
2.5 - Below average. They can probably do better, and there are definitely better albums you should get first. Get it if you think it will appeal to you but don't expect too much.
2.0 - Mediocre and fairly boring, but maybe with a few nice moments. Unless you're batshit about the artist, don't bother.
1.5 - Bad. A very poorly executed album that should definitely be avoided, even by fans.
1.0 - A disaster, something that should never have been created. No redeeming qualities.
0.5 - Probably a joke rating, I don't know if I have heard anything this atrocious yet. If I do, I don't ever want to hear it again.
I've only just started rating films, so bear with me.

Yeah you bet you did. Amazing album that I've only just gotten into in the last ~month. Can't believe I waited so long.
Also, nice rating system, nice to see someone else who likes descriptions!
