"You will find me...in the middle of the road." --Denim
A concise history of my life in music listening:
Late 70s to early 80s: movie theme songs and contemporary "campus folk" music.
Early to late 80s: Western pop hits.
Early 80s to present: classic rock, progressive rock, new age music.
Mid 80s to present: indie pop/alternative rock.
Late 80s to present: Japanese rock & pop, animation music.
Early 90s to present: classical music.
Late 90s to present: alternative country.
First LP: probably The Alan Parsons Project's Vulture Culture (bought circa 1985, lost).
First (non-pirate) tape: Howard Jones - Dream Into Action (bought circa 1985)
First CD: The Blue Aeroplanes - Friendloverplane (bought circa 1989)
Around 2012 I docked half a star on almost everything I'd rated, thus, for instance, all 6/6+ in list descriptions are now mostly 2 1/2 stars.
July 2015: Add half a star back to many (highly ranked) albums; however, for instance, on the lists a four star album is still listed as ***(*), which is closer to its true value in my mind.
